Trailmix is an award-winning studio based in the heart of London, backed by mobile giants Supercell. We are actively growing the talented team behind our debut game, Love & Pies, which is set to be the next free-to-play mobile hit.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for talented budding designers looking to further their career in Design and make a big impact on a rapidly growing and successful game with huge amounts of potential.

We’re looking for a Content Designer to join us at Trailmix and help implement fantastic storylines for our game Love & Pies. You’ll be taking story scripts and transforming them into playable experiences using our Unity toolset. This role is a combination of technical, artistic and design: we want someone who can excel at the nuts and bolts of implementation, but can also bring an artistic eye to the content to ensure it’s as fun and engaging as possible for our players. Overall, your responsibility will be to regularly deliver high quality story episodes in a strict time frame, helping to steer how we tell our evolving storyline to our players.

The Content Designer will also play a key part in achieving Trailmix’s mission: to foster a culture of trust, respect and creativity which allows us to make beautiful long lasting games that can be played by everyone.

Responsibilities:

• Owning the implementation of story chapters, harnessing scripts, art and animation to create high quality playable content for our players
• Liaising with narrative leads, designers, artists and QA managers at the right stages of the process to ensure story chapters are delivered to a high quality level and to strict deadlines
• Constantly assessing the content tools and pipelines to proactively suggest improvements

Requirements:

• An ability to ‘think technical’, with examples of experience in Unity or other implementation tooling
• Similarly, an ability to ‘think artistically’, able to show that you have an eye for visually blocking out a scene from a script for maximum emotional effect
• A player-first mindset, demonstrating that you respect and can act as a champion for our audience, creating content with their needs in mind
• A love for and knowledge of the casual mobile market, with a finger on the pulse of the latest trends
• A demonstrable ability to work independently to produce high quality work within strict time frames
• Curiosity and initiative that leads to constantly improving processes and the game as a whole

Location:

Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings X with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
