Consumer Insights Manager - Europe Studios
You’ll have a role in developing gaming experiences that players love. You’ll help lead the future of gaming at EA. You’ll represent the voice of players. You’ll guide business strategies using stories with consumer insight at the core.
The Consumer Insights Manager will join the Consumer Insights (CI) team at EA, which is part of the broader Global Analytics and Insights (GAI) organization at EA. GAI is a team of 200+ researchers, analysts, and data scientists who help design and improve EA’s gaming experiences for the player.
Consumer Insights is always in pursuit of understanding our players - their motivations for playing games and how their behaviors change alongside the ever-changing gaming market. This role within CI will lead research focusing on our European studios and the games they create, such as Battlefield and Need for Speed. You’ll partner closely with our studios, brand and marketing teams, and fellow researchers and analysts both in the US and Europe. We are looking for a researcher who is not just a thought-leader, but a relationship-builder who understands our partners’ context to create research roadmaps and provide essential insights to have impact on our games, live services, and communications.

The CI Manager for Europe Studios will work with...
- Our Consumer Insights team - based in Redwood City, CA, with a European hub in Bucharest, we are a collaborative team that includes your fellow title-focused CI managers and researchers.
- Other members in the GAI organization - we work together to develop a cross-functional ‘voice of the player’ that uses other areas of expertise (e.g. data science, telemetry analytics, user experience, social listening).
- EA’s studios and brand leadership - we partner closely with decision-makers and experts across development, marketing, publishing, and brand to inform strategies from green light to launch and throughout live services.
In a typical week, you could be…
- Out in the field, talking with players about their gaming experiences and frustrations, which will guide the game team towards experiences you should build
- Analyzing data, and building a story that guides product and marketing in their decision-making
- Designing insights projects that guide new feature development, using traditional or fresh techniques that are qualitative or quantitative.
- Traveling to our European studios to workshop strategy and features, the essence of your studios’ brands and target players, promoting knowledge that identifies your games’ place in our EA portfolio

- Creative. You’ve leveraged or designed non-traditional methodologies when the status quo wasn’t enough
- Insights Expertise. You’re experienced across multiple research techniques and methodologies
- 5+ years of experience working in or with any of these:
- Interactive entertainment industry (e.g. video gaming, gaming/entertainment platforms)
- Consumer-facing digital technology industry (e.g. apps, platforms)
- Linear creative entertainment (e.g. film, television)
- If you have experience on the agency/consulting side, that’s a bonus
- Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis
