Job Description
We’re currently seeking a Concept Artist to help our team on their next adventure. You will join an international and successful team and will report to the Lead Artist.
Your daily adventure:
- In collaboration with the Lead Artist, generate high quality concept art to convey the artistic direction of game characters and/or environments.
- Define the overall look and art style of a game according to its target audience.
- Generate art at multiple levels, i.e., storyboards, thumbnails, sketches, color comps, show pieces, loading screens, Key art etc.
- Create art in a wide range of styles from realistic to cartoon, from concept to implementation in the game.
- Guide internal and external art teams through briefs, daily communications and by providing clear feedback to ensure that deliverables are completed at quality and to specifications.
- Organize and update work and backlog using project management/planning tools.
- Work together with producers, leads and other teams to push project quality and creativity.
- Eventually help Marketing team by producing key/core assets.
- Carry out all other related tasks.

- BA in art media, graphic design, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience as Concept Artist.
- Extensive traditional fine art skills and production experience (illustration, painting, human anatomy, organic forms, color theory, lighting, perspective, 2D & 3D design).
- Thorough understanding of digital/traditional Graphic art techniques.
- Proficient with some digital art & painting software such as Photoshop, Painter, Clip Studio Paint ...
- A portfolio showing your skills in color, composition, lighting, clarity, and usability.
- Versatile and prepared to tackle many kinds of tasks, ranging from creative challenges to mass production.
- Self-motivation, excellent communication and organization skills, team spirit, proactivity.
- Positive attitude with the ability to receive and provide objective feedback
- Be a team player: we use agile development methods, where the team members are in permanent contact. Open mindedness and good communication skills are a must.
- Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits. Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change.
- Good command of English.
- Work permit for Spain obtained prior to applying for the position is a must.
Bonus:
- Texture painting skills.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding in both 3D and 2D game processes.
- Experience with 3D tools, modeling, and texturing in both Low and High poly (3D max, Blender, ZBrush). Knowledge of animation, Illustrator, Flash, Unity engine, particle effects creation programs (e.g., combustion, particle illusion, fork) and motion graphics programs (eg After Effects).
- Architectural knowledge.
- Mechanical design/industrial design skills.
- Familiarity with game engines (Unity a plus).
- Passion for games and some knowledge of the gaming industry.
- Spanish or Catalan is a plus.
