ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Compensation and People Analyst at Fortis, you will partner with the VP Total Rewards to develop, implement, maintain, and improve our hiring, compensation and people analytics programs. You will be a key member of our People team and work across our function with initial focus on Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards teams. You will report into the VP Total Rewards and partners closely with the Fortis People Leadership team.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
- Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, you will help define metrics, develop dashboards and create operational reports.
- Report out on talent acquisition insights and use data to improve processes and candidate/key stakeholder experiences.
- Conducting compensation market research and analysis in the tech space, including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Analyze past compensation data, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and contribute to evolving our compensation programs.
- Manage day-to-day inquiries and requests from business partners and talent acquisition team on compensation related matters.
- Maintain strong data integrity and accuracy; help users understand the “why” behind the importance of data integrity and downstream impacts.
- Create and deliver training programs for a variety of audiences on compensation related topics.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 3-5 years relevant experience working with People programs including compensation, benefits, analytics, talent acquisition, or talent management
- Analytical skills to interpret and present data effectively, coupled with problem-solving skills to navigate complex processes
- Intermediate to advanced skills in working with Workday, Greenhouse and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) and excel (lookups, pivots, queries)
- Good attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation
