Community Representative

Job Description

What You’ll Do

The Community Representative will be responsible for the day-to-day interaction with our player base and function as a shadow for the Community Manager(s). The ideal candidate is a creative and avid gamer, who is comfortable with online communities and social media, with excellent written communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic and global production environment.

Status: Full-time

Location: Cary, NC

Core Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm

Responsibilities

• Collaborate globally with Community Developers, Community Managers, and Community Representatives to help execute the community engagement strategy of the brand.
• Assist with the planning, creation, and publishing of engaging content and player-facing resources such as social media posts, articles, guides, videos, and FAQs to help enhance and deepen the player experience.
• Monitoring of and communicating directly with the player base via the forums and social media channels to ensure alignment of outbound communications.
• Develop an active and engaged relationship with players in the fan base.

• Assess the community’s pulse, understand community concerns, and communicate community sentiment and feedback to internal partners.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a Community Representative or Social Media role.
• Strong understanding of content creation, experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus!
• Previous experience with customer first-contact and de-escalation, user moderation and conversation management in a digital/online environment, including experience working with forums and social media management tools.

• Strong understanding of social media services, mechanics, and trends, especially Discord, Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit.
• Ability to thrive and stay organized in a dynamic environment with the abilities to: multitask, act as a team player, work collaboratively and proactively; with excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge the video games industry is a significant plus.
