Community Manager

Job Overview

Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore is looking for a Community Manager who brings charisma and excitement on top of real-world insights and applicable experience to our team. In this role, you’ll be a highly visible team-member, actively engaged in providing our audience with the best gaming related content while simultaneously amplifying our studio’s military credibility and expertise. You’ll work closely with a range of disciplines on the Development, Marketing & Publishing teams to help keep our players excited about what’s coming in an insightful & informative way.

Reports To

The Community Manager will report to the Global Publishing Producer.

What will you do?

• Represent Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore amongst internal teams/studios and with player communities on camera, in channels and at events, gatherings, etc. as necessary.
• Bring military insights & authenticity to the table in an exciting and informative manner.
• Maintain high level of visibility & interaction with community in and out of game and across channels.
• Help write content in conjunction with marketing/audience teams for upcoming events, promotions, sales and other areas of interest for our communities.
• Thick skin, able to take constructive criticism and able to decipher player feedback and complaints to get to the root issue.
• Translation of players sentiment/feedback and associated data into high level understanding and reception analysis for leadership.
• Collaborate directly with global Community team on strategies, roadmap and distribution of tasks.

• Inquisitive personality, always looking to improve and grow quality of output and personal contribution to our games & team.
• Excellent communicator in all forms (verbal, written, presentation, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills and pleasant, team player attitude.
• Ability to work with various disciplines and global team members.
• Love Tanks and enjoy talking about them!
• Military background; having ridden in or worked on a tank even better!
• Excited about and understand military historical context, and able to communicate it in a way that is respectful of all our global players.
• Play games (on multiple platforms)
• Desire for continual professional growth/development.
• Familiarity with gaming industry, terminology & platforms.
