As a Community Manager on our Player Experience team, you will define and execute the relationship management strategy with our player community within our core games studio. You will represent the point of view of our players and manage all external communications as the friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic voice of Pocket Gems. You will also build strong internal partnerships with our product and marketing teams to deliver against important business initiatives. This role is a part of our Empire Track, which develops strategy-based games, including fantasy and world-building. O ver time there is also an opportunity to contribute to a new project team focused on early development projects with RPG and/or 3D combat elements.
What We’ve Accomplished:
- Built a passionate community of dedicated players from newly joined to elder players
- Created strong player-driven feedback systems to help guide development processes
- Partnered with leadership teams to drive key retention projects
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a long-term community support strategy in collaboration with our existing team
- Design programs to drive growth and healthy engagement
- Leverage data-driven insights and critical thinking skills to make strategic recommendations to internal teams
- Build strong, personal 1:1 relationships with our most loyal players to keep them engaged while communicating upcoming features and updates
- Own content creation and development (e.g. events, contests, videos, livestreams, and marketing promotions) across various social channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube
- Manage all communications with our game community on customer forums
- Represent the voice of the community to internal teams
What You Bring to the Team:
- 4+ years of relevant community management experience
- Familiarity with / enthusiasm for the core games space - spanning mobile, console, and PC gaming
- Ability to measure and analyze results using qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to communicate with diverse (and sometimes challenging) personalities
- Active use of social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Extra Gems for:
- Experience with Photoshop, video editing, HTML/CSS, and live stream production skills
