Community Manager (Remote)

We’re looking for an experienced Community Manager who’s passionate about player communities, gaming culture, communication, and social media. This manager would work in close partnership with the Marketing team and development team to build player excitement and key influencer/content creator relationships on behalf of the game.

The ideal candidate is driven and self-motivated, a student of digital brand marketing and communications, with a proven track record of large-scale community development efforts in the entertainment or gaming industry.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Work together with the Marketing team to build publishing plans making sure that the Content strategy is aligned
• Design and execution of global community development programs
• Manage communication plans and social channel strategy
• Design and manage community development projects
• Build relationships with community partners such as fan sites, influencers, and volunteers
• Analyze and report on team performance data to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation
• Provide meaningful feedback to game teams on the community’s sentiment, concerns, and suggestions
• Talent and influencer identification and development
• Social boosting planning and coordination
• Coordinate CMS management and publishing
• Content vendors coordination (internal and external)
• Create engagement opportunities at in-person and online events
• Creating reports, learnings and analytics about: channels & content performance, voice of the players, sentiment, buzz, trends
• Act as public-facing representative of Mountaintop Studios and communicate on behalf of the brand across multiple channels and at events

ABOUT YOU

• A Community Manager, Influencer Relationships Manager or Social Media Manager with experience in building or managing a community for a games-as-a-service title or AAA game launch and post-launch campaign
• Strong communication skills and passion for teamwork
• Proficiency building and managing social channels on Discord, Twitch, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
• Thorough knowledge on the social media trends, publishing tools
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum five years’ experience with brand communications, forums, and social media
• Minimum two years’ experience with third party relationship management
• Minimum two years’ experience with channel management, publishing calendars, reporting & analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A passionate gamer possessing ample experience in the competitive FPS space, especially tactical shooters like Counter-Strike or Valorant
• Strong relationships with mid-high tier content creators and streamers in the gaming space
• Advanced degrees in communication, marketing, or related field
• Video production and / or graphic arts experience
