Community Manager

This opportunity is for a temporary position in Chicago, IL. Iron Galaxy employees are all working from home through April 2021 due to COVID-19. This WFH policy extends to anyone that Iron Galaxy hires between now and then. All new-hire onboarding is being done remotely, and any equipment that you might need for projects at Iron Galaxy will be shipped directly to you.

Iron Galaxy is looking for a Community Manager to help us help sustain a strong relationship with our players. We need an ambassador to seek out the conversations about the games we make and join in the dialogue. Our Community Manager will build a bridge between our players and our developers and help them to understand each other. This is a job about providing a high level of service to our players.

This opportunity is for a 12 month temporary full-time position in Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with players on forums and social media
• Participation in live streams as guest, host, or combatant
• Representing our developers on the Internet and at events
• Representing our players in the studio creative process

• Creating content to educate, celebrate, and inform players

Qualifications:

• Strong written communications skills for managing relationships
• Experience with relationship management or customer service

• Proficiency as a player of melee, combat, or action games
• Experience with public speaking or livestreaming
• Demonstrated ability to lead a conversation on the Internet
