Community Manager- F2P

The Community Manager will be joining a close-knit team of experienced professionals to build and foster positive sentiment amongst the fan base of free-to-play titles on console, mobile, and PC. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience with developing, managing, and executing Community engagement, social media and content strategy. This role will work closely with internal teams including Game Development, Product Management, Production, Brand/Marketing, and PR to communicate with players, drive strong engagement and community growth.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop strategies and plans to meet product KPIs including player engagement and retention
- Develop and maintain a communication and feedback process with internal teams of key community interests, needs, and concerns
- Create engaging content and messaging in multiple formats and channels, which is aligned with product positioning and brand
- Identify, analyze, and interpret Community feedback, trends, and analytics to maintain a positive environment across social channels
- Develop monthly Community reports for internal communication and to track overall sentiment/feedback while providing actionable recommendations for each team.
- Carry out interactive community events and/or contests to help support player retention.
- Engage with local and international content creators (streamers, tutorial makers, culturally-relevant personalities) to evangelize and communicate key messaging.
- Independently manage the F2P Community calendar and schedule posts per title accordingly
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of digital community management, preferably with free-to-play games. Experience with PC, console and mobile games a plus.
- Strong understanding of how to maximize player experience and growth on platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, and more)
- Proficient planner and avid storyteller: capable of outlining, executing and managing concurrent content pipelines and programs according to brand priorities.
- Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player. Can-do attitude and willing to try out-of-the-box things.
- Knowledge of social media project management, scheduling, analytics and sentiment monitoring tools a plus (ie: Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
- Photography, design, animation and/or video editing skills, as well as related software proficiency a plus: Photoshop, Premiere, FinalCut, Illustrator, After Effects.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and G-Suite equivalents.
- Passion for gaming is a MUST. Experience as a player and community member/leader of at least one core title (FPS, Battle Royale, MOBA or RPG)
- BA or BS degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or similar
