Community Experience Designer

If so, the Hamlet Game Product team is seeking a Community Experience Designer to develop cross-channel participatory programs that activate passionate fan bases. In this role, you will develop content that meaningfully extends the game narrative through online, social, and community-building platforms, creating spaces for community conversation and social gameplay to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Develop a scalable social media content & engagement plan for Hamlet’s Soft Launch, global Launch and Live Ops.
- Become an expert on our TAM (Total Addressable Market) to develop content that engages our target audience.
- Interface with members of our internal team (Art, Narrative, Design, and Production) to generate content that aligns with Hamlet’s worldbuilding pillars.
- Collaborate with our external creative partners to develop out-of-app content like livestreams and special events.
- Define social content deliverables, specs, and work with production to develop an asset creation schedule.
- Build and foster a community of players on Hamlet’s forums and social media channels through direct interaction and by engagement focused content.
- Represent the voice of the community in meetings with cross-functional partners of varying levels and job functions.
Qualifications
- Deep, demonstrated experience in online community building and social media management.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with brand communications, community management, and social media.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in community relationship building, partnerships/collaborations, and talent management.
- Strategic problem solver with strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of community forums, social media platforms (Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), and how they can help achieve business goals.
- Strong written communications and editorial skills.
- Able to make critical decisions under time constraints and a full workload.
- Able to occasionally work atypical hours to support launches and events.
- Able to travel (including international) once in-person events are possible.
- Strong familiarity and knowledge of gaming communities.
- Experience working within strict brand and legal guidelines is a plus.
