CCP is looking to bring on board an experienced community development specialist to maintain, engage and grow the community for award-winning MMORPG EVE Online, helping to ensure its longevity into its third decade. Reporting to the Senior Community Manager, the EVE Online Community Developer will work alongside colleagues in EVE Online’s tight-knit Community team at CCP’s Reykjavik studio in Iceland and will collaborate with CCP’s Brand, PR, Events and Game Development teams.
The EVE Online community regularly grabs headlines due to its record-breaking battles, creative charity events and tumbling space politics. As part of the EVE Community team, you will have the rare opportunity to build and foster relationships while collaborating closely with this unique and inspiring community.
Your Tasks:
- Collaborate with the EVE Community team to oversee and administer EVE Online’s community, aligning devoted service of EVE players’ needs with CCP’s objectives
- Develop strategies and implement tactics to engage and entertain EVE’s community
- Work to address, communicate and resolve any issues related to the features and functionality of the game
- Relay new community-requested features as appropriate to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Creative Services team on the day-to-day creation and delivery of relevant and engaging editorial content on social media platforms, including tweets, posts and discussions
- Proactively interact with EVE Online’s community across all social media platforms with an EVE presence (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Steam forum, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Discord) to generate fans and followers, build relationships and foster goodwill
- Work with EVE Community teammates to monitor the success of EVE community activities against the team’s overall objectives
Your Profile:- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Long-term experience managing online communities and gaming clans
- Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for EVE Online’s gameplay systems, history and player community
- Proficiency with office productivity software
- Familiarity with all mainstream social media outlets including (but not limited to) YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Twitch, Discord and Steam
- Experience with social media campaigns and the ability to identify trends in community behavior and monitor relevant KPIs
- Excellent research and organization skills – demonstrated ability to successfully plan, manage and execute projects
- Highly developed communications skills, reliable dependability, and a professional work ethic with a high attention to detail
- Ability to travel as required to represent EVE Online and CCP at various trade shows and industry events
