What We Need:
2K is looking for an Associate Marketing Manager for Japan with a focus on Live Operations of NBA 2K and RPG games. The role requires an interest in community, influencer relations, influencer marketing and social network management. The role will see the successful candidate input into the development of the community strategy and subsequent measurement and analysis of influencer marketing initiatives.
You’ll be primarily focusing on engaging with local game communities, helping formulate community strategy, managing content, and maintaining relationships with key community advocates and influencers in Japan. As well as providing community sentiment insights to the team to improve our marketing plans and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the community management of assigned titles including owned media deployment and measurement (2K owned social channels on various platforms)
- Execute influencer marketing campaigns and assist in managing community agencies
- Collect, maintain and update influencer information for internal database
- Input into the development of the annual community growth strategies for assigned titles
- Propose and manage the community engagement programs to keep our players engaged in Live Services
- Collaborate with Rest of Asia marketing teams for shared learning and joint projects
- Be Player centric in everything you do - consider all touchpoints for our player and work out the right message, right time and right place to reach them
- Establish community insights based on daily monitoring on the community intel with analysis of the related in-game data
- Be a resourceful community marketer and adhere to assigned budget
- Other tasks as required by the marketing team
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in gaming with experience supporting Community and Influencer marketing
- Have a passion for video gaming or a desire to learn a gamer’s profile
- Have worked in a team that manages 360 Marketing campaigns with exposure to paid, owned and organic channels
- Understanding of social network platforms and their ecosystem in Japan
- Player-first mentality: thinking of our player first in developing and executing influencer and community ideas
- Approachable personality to build and maintain relationships with a range of influencers
- Self-starter that stays on top of the latest community and influence trends
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with a test and learn mindset and ability to learn and act quickly
- Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English is desirable but not a requirement
- Passion for NBA 2K and RPG genre
- Affinity and knowledge to Japanese subcultures ie: Anime, Manga, Pixiv, Cosplay, NicoNico
- Consumes a lot of YouTube, Twitch or other video streaming or VOD platform content
- Pre-established relationship with MCN agencies or influencers
- Knowledge on related entertainment industry that is connected with game industry
- Strong team player with an outgoing personality
