Communications specialist

We are looking for a communication specialist with a diverse experience and interest to contribute to employees’ engagement as well as Keywords’ employer branding and visibility through a broad spectrum of initiatives, from social media content creation to internal communications. Reporting to the Communications manager – Americas, the Communications specialist has the purpose of aligning Keywords with its desired culture and values, through impactful communications and storytelling, internally and externally. An efficient Web writer as well as a curious content creator, you will work with a wide range of collaborators to plan and produce original content and relay engaging stories. In addition to cultivating a good network of collaborators to contribute to the editorial calendar, you will also suggest new ideas to come up with.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Communications specialist will work in collaboration with the Communications manager – Americas to plan a strategic editorial calendar to support the company’s mission and objectives, and for the creation and deployment of various projects, initiatives, and organizational messages.
- Create engaging content for Keywords employees (Yammer, SharePoint, etc.) in the Americas region and to contribute to Keywords Studios’ local visibility and employer branding (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
- Participate to the planning of the editorial calendars and the research of topics. Work in synergy with local, regional and global colleagues to identify, share, create or adapt interesting content to specific audiences and platforms.
Social media:
- Contribute to generating traffic on social media. Analyze web traffic to measure the success of the content and establish/follow KPIs.
- Monitor social media daily.
- Work in synergy with the global social media responsible and regional collaborators.
Internal communications:
- Develop the communications strategy and plans to support our efforts in our employee engagement programs. Review or create various communications pieces when needed, with relevant tone and style.
- Liaise with internal and external partners and consultants.
- Provides coaching and advice to managers and colleagues and support them with their communication needs.
- Help manage and monitor internal platforms (Yammer, SharePoint).
- Provide advice to collaborators who develop SharePoint sections on how to structure and maximize their Web writing content.
Other:
- Support internal Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate social responsibility efforts.
- Graphic design: crop and format pictures, work with a graphic designer, select visuals in a bank of images, etc.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant working experience in communications/Public relations.
- Experience in content creation for social media, especially LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Experience with social media moderation, Google Analytics and social media publication trends.
- Possess strong Web writing skills. Excel with efficient, short, persuasive communications and relationship building. Love storytelling and creative communications
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
- Intermediate or advanced level of oral and written French.
- Project coordination skills, organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines, with an attention to detail.
- Have a go-getter and initiative-taking attitude.
- At ease working with MS Office 365 and other collaborative tools, especially Yammer and SharePoint.
- Experience maintaining and monitoring an intranet or a Web site.
- Comfortable providing coaching and advice related to communications and intranet/Web best practices.
- Interest for Diversity & Inclusion and Social corporate responsibility.
A plus:
- Experience in the video game industry or in a fast-paced, changing, and growing business
- environment; interest, or passion for gaming.
- Graphic design: proficiency with Adobe, Photoshop, etc.
- Ability to create quality pictures and short videos (reels) for internal communications and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of other social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Twitch and Instagram.
- Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, and work ethic.
- Interest to keep track of the most recent trends in social media management (changes in algorithms, types of popular publications, etc.).
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
