Communications Specialist - China

Overview
The Communications Specialist China will work closely with the APAC & European marketing and communication leads, to assist with the execution of Public Relations and Community Management strategies in China. The Communications Specialist will be given key responsibilities in order to grow and strengthen relationships with key media, content creators, influencers and the Chinese Bethesda community of players.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and implement Chinese Communications plans for all titles, ensuring input and approvals have been achieved by all relevant teams.
- Create and maintain an extensive contact list and develop relationships across press, influencers, and content creators.
- Create engaging social media content and manage Chinese social media platforms (written, streamed, video etc).
- Assist and oversee community channels pre- and post-launch and help foster and build community-generated content, forum discussions, downloads, and other interactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that community feedback is addressed.
- Help develop communications assets such as games videos, podcasts, developer interview, product updates.
- Assist with the company’s involvement in trade shows, exhibitions, and other events in China.
- Create plans on how to develop long term relationships with content creators and the content creator community online and at events.
- Assist in the long-term plans for social channels and manage social media/content ideas from inception to execution.
- Draft and distribute PR & Community reports including sentiment, reviews, metrics, research and analyse and present the results.
- Work closely with the Global Community/PR and Regional/Global Marketing teams.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years’ experience in Community or Public Relations in the gaming industry or similar entertainment industries (either in an agency or in-house).
- Must Have – Chinese: Native level, English: Business level, Other languages advantageous.
- Demonstrable, in-depth on the ground knowledge of the Chinese market.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations preferred but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with photo/video/podcasting editing a plus.
- Strong understanding of social networking tools and trends.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a high-pressure environment.
