Communications Lead

Wonderstorm is a double threat media studio that creates timeless animated TV series and engaging video games that anchor our entertainment franchises.

Our first franchise, the Emmy Award-winning The Dragon Prince, began as an original animated series on Netflix in 2018. All three seasons have been a Top 10 digital original and are rated 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The series was recently picked up for four additional seasons. A world-class video game for The Dragon Prince is under development by the same creative team.

We're looking for a Communications Lead that puts building long-term player trust at the center of everything they do. This is someone who has a deep sense of player empathy, and is a master at crafting communication strategy and player messaging. They excel at cultivating, scaling, and engaging on community channels, and are well-versed in building lasting partnerships with content creators. They relentlessly seek to deepen the connection between product and player.

What you will do...

• Develop an integrated communication strategy for both the game and the show, across community, social, press, and CRM channels
• Craft key messaging and comms that speak directly to the heart of what players and fans care about
• Lead content strategy & planning for all of our channels
• Grow our player and social channels through meaningful engagement and relevant content experiences
• Build relationship programs to invest in and support content creators
• Listen closely to, understand, and act on what players have to say

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading community efforts for major consumer or entertainment properties
• Demonstrated experience building vibrant and healthy communities
• Expert wordsmith who is always able to find the right words with the right tone for the right occasion
• Adept at growing and managing social media ecosystems
• Detail oriented, task driven, self-motivated, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
• Deeply held sense of player empathy and a strong desire to always do right by the player
• A meme game that's on point, no cap
• Bonus XP: experience building player lists and managing CRM campaigns
