Job Description

You will be a member of the newly formed Brand Portfolio Management team whose mandate is to drive the strategy of our entire Brand Portfolio enabling the global alignment, long term strategy and smoother operational execution on all brands & portfolio related topics. The focus is three-fold:

· The development of the global portfolio strategy;

· The alignment of the group on brand vision and roadmaps;

· The unification, development and acceleration of our games/ market/ gamers /marketability expertise to better support our projects.

The department consists of over 120 professionals (in brand development, narration, market strategy, world building, art direction, market research & strategy, data science & analytics etc) is located across 6 sites: Paris, Montpellier, Montreal, San Francisco, Shanghai and Malmö.

As Communications Director for the BPM department, you will be responsible for leading, developing and coaching a team of 12, currently structured across 2 separate teams:-

1 - Events team whose mission is to ensure that our games get the best exposure (reach and quality) at external professional & consumer events (ex.E3) – by producing digital and physical moments.

Making sure the quality content is delivered on time, your purpose will be supporting and coordinating messages and asset production in deep collaboration with Development Studio teams, General Management and Publishing Teams.

More specifically you will be:

- In charge of developing and monitoring an ambitious communication strategy for physical and digital events

- Staying abreast of best practices and new channels, ideas and technologies in communications

- Partnering with the HQ Corporate Event team, and external partners to lead BPM’s external event and content strategy, build and execute successful events – both onsite and virtually

2- Internal Communication team whose mission is to:

- Ensure that the vision and the missions of BPM are shared and understood by BPM teams, Ubisoft Leaders, and Ubisoft’s 20k employees

- Spread content to enhance global comprehension of trends, markets, and gamers across the company

- Support change and ambition by working closely with the BPM excellence & change team

More specifically, you will be:

- Providing recommendations to support Ubisoft’s BPM Communications (overall strategy and objectives)

- Developing and increasing the visibility of BPM across the wider Ubisoft ecosystem.

- Assist the Chief Portfolio Officer and its management in the preparation of public interventions.

Qualifications

-We are looking for a passionate and energetic Communications Director.

-You are an inspiring leader, you have an analytical mind and creative spirit, the ability and initiative to tackle tasks big and small, have great attention to detail, and dedication to driving results;

-You demonstrate success in managing direct reports (onsites and/or virtually).

-Impeccable written and verbal communications skills, as well as a fluent level of English is required;

-Broad knowledge of the video game industry, market, games, trends

-You have significant experience in a similar position, preferably within video game, technology or entertainment companies;

-You have experience and are comfortable in advising C-Level leaders on internal and external communications strategies and opportunities.

-You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, and a strong interest in the video game industry and the evolving field of communication and event.
