Communication Specialist

Responsible for internal and external communications (including main website content and social marketing), media relations and events support. Determines content topics, coordinates with others to obtain information, writes, edits, designs and sends to employees, students, donors, universities, community and business contacts. Prepares and supervises the production of announcements, brochures, event materials, photographs, newsletters, press releases, etc.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies that includes media outreach and social media content creation
- Coordinate and monitor external and internal communications flow (memos, newsletters etc.)
- Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs and newsletters
- Plan events, seminars, internal interviews and press conferences
- Manage media inquiries and arrange interviews, statements etc.
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, government offices, local media
- Collaborate with global marketing team
- Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copy
- Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team
- Serve as a facilitator and provide solution for peaceful resolution of dispute
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience in a communication role in a global company
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
- Good knowledge of: social media and the best ways to utilize each platform
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both verbally and written
- Excellent grammar, composition, and proofreading skills
- Proven social media and networking expertise
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail
- Very good knowledge of English
- Preferred proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to plan work assignments and set priorities
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Photo and video-editing skills
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
