Outbound Sales Lead

As Kano scales into the next level of growth in Educational Institutions around the world, we are looking to bolster our sales and EDU teams with talented sales professionals selling into schools.
This salesperson will be primarily responsible for prospecting, contacting, and providing solutions to US schools, districts, buying groups, and even individual teachers. We want to meet our customers where they need us, and provide best-in-class computer solutions.
Kano has live and growing partnerships with the best distribution and reseller teams in the country. This role will operate within an already excited channel, to bring more Kano devices to schools in need.
This role will have a commission structure on top of a base salary and will be compensated not only on individual revenue contribution, but also overall company performance.
The role will be based in the US and will report directly to the SVP of Business.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work from an existing contact database of schools and EDU decision makers to introduce Kano, understand school needs, and pitch solutions.
- Partner with Kano EDU sales & marketing teams to close warm leads, and generate new prospects.
- Provide sales support to major channel partners and customers.
- Manage reporting for in-territory quarterly pipeline and sell-through.
- Strategize with leadership, product, and marketing to improve sales materials based on customer feedback.
Requirements
- EDU or Government facing sales experience (3+ years)
- Ability to prospect, qualify, and close hardware deals with an average deal size of $30,000-$100,000
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM such as Salesforce is a plus
- Proficiency in Office, Teams, and modern workplace platforms such as Asana
- Solid relationship building skills with the ability to communicate and relate to a diverse group of people.
- Self-starter with a focus on meeting, then crushing targets
