About the role
The Commercial Manager makes sure Paradox products are commercially optimized, throughout the planning and during the product’s lifecycle. This means servicing the product teams with forecasts, business cases and other relevant intel already from pre-signing of a product, throughout the development and after release, as long as the product is active.
As a central function, the Commercial Manager will work on Paradox’s entire portfolio with the purpose of finding synergies and learnings between products and segments.
This role will report to the VP of Marketing & Sales and is located in our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Work with product management to ensure accurate and up to date sales forecasts, ensuring every commercial opportunity is accounted for.
- Own all commercial recommendations to the product teams, such as business model, pricing, SKU-setup, localizations, platforms, lifecycle management and more.
- Service product teams with business cases, reactively and proactively, to make sure each game has a well thought out business plan, SKU-setup, pricing, localization and other commercially related factors. With a portfolio as diverse as Paradox’s (featuring simulation games like Cities: Skylines as well as action RPGs like Bloodlines 2 ), you won’t be able to pursue a one size fits all approach: Every game will require a customized commercial plan.
- Continuously work on product lifecycle management with all games across all segments, finding synergies in between to make sure each game is commercially optimized at any point during its lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analysis, business developer, sales manager or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in games and the gaming industry
- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.
On a personal level, you are passionate about moving the projects forward by both proactively solving problems and being able to think on the fly. You are analytical and enjoy working with data but also a great communicator with strong stakeholder management and people skills. You constantly seek out other people and departments for collaboration and alignment.
