ustwo Nordics is looking for a new Commercial Director to join our amazing Malmö studio!
As Commercial Director at ustwo, you are responsible for leading our commercial team, exploring opportunities with new and existing clients around the globe, and helping us build and maintain industry-wide relationships. You are instrumental in shaping and steering ustwo’s business development strategy in collaboration with the studio and the team, and as part of the Leadership team, you’ll be reporting to the MD.
You are a natural self-starter with a strong digital background and experience in selling, negotiating, and have a broad understanding of digital solutions across all major platforms alongside project owners, technical and design teams. In collaboration with the business team, as well as the rest of ustwo Nordics, you’ll be part of moving the business into new and exciting spaces.
REQUIREMENTS
A LITTLE ABOUT YOU
- You have a strong passion for tech, digital design, products, and services. Even better: you’re passionate about helping clients create not only the products they’re looking for, but products that will have a real impact and make a difference to their business and to the world.
- Start to finish experience from network through to pitch. You're comfortable with negotiating MSAs, establishing new relationships, creating opportunities, qualifying leads, leading RFI/RFP responses, crafting bespoke proposals and pitches and contract negotiations.
- You're a brilliant storyteller, not only with great communication, linguistic and writing skills, but you also have the ability to take people on a journey and effectively communicate a vision.
- You’re a team player who loves and knows how to get people involved and excited about projects in a - at times - hectic work environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of consultancy studio financial models and budgeting processes, both at company and project levels. You know how to build a business strategy around finance, what it means and looks like to stabilize revenue, ideas around ways to ensure profit, and how this all interlinks when it comes to the big picture.
- You have experience leading people and teams and you know how to motivate, engage, and get the best out of the people around you.
- You know and understand that business development is not always a 9-5 job and that some traveling is required.
- You have experience securing and negotiating contracts in excess 10M+ SEK.
- You have 10+ years of business development experience or equivalent, holding a strong local and international network.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead our commercial team of currently 3 people and be part of our studio Leadership together with our discipline heads.
- Organize and manage our business development efforts, including business strategies, account plans, manage pipeline and forecasting - to realize our revenue targets together with your team
- Personally manage and grow some of our most important client accounts
- Grow the sales pipeline, thus ensuring a healthy flow of new business opportunities for the studio.
- Drive RFPs, pitches, and commercial proposals together with our creative teams
- Understand and take part in shaping the studio, culture and the business team.
- Open doors and connect with people, as well as networking with our global ustwo community.
- Engage with the ustwo studio to understand what brands, industries, and projects we’re passionate about as well as involve people and create excitement around the business development efforts.
