Prytania Media is seeking a Cloud Governance and Compliance Engineer to work with our fully distributed studios, Possibility Space, Crop Circle Games, Fang and Claw, and Dawon Entertainment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure, compliant, and efficient use of cloud services within our organization. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and enforcing cloud governance policies, procedures, and best practices. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding sensitive data, managing cloud resources effectively, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a multi-cloud environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop cloud governance policies and standards aligned with the organization's security and compliance objectives.
- Establish & implement guidelines for cloud resource provisioning, access controls, data protection, and identity and access management.
- Monitor and drive remediation activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to cloud security and data privacy.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to verify compliance and address any non-compliance issues.
- Manage cloud resources effectively, optimizing costs, performance, and security.
- Implement resource tagging and tracking mechanisms to facilitate accountability and cost allocation.
- Design and implement cloud security controls to protect data and applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Educate employees and stakeholders about cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and potential risks.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud governance policies, security controls, compliance assessments, and incident response procedures.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and compliance metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cloud governance, compliance management, and cloud security best practices.
- In-depth working knowledge of cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CIS Controls, ISO 27001) related to cloud security and data privacy.
- Strong understanding of network and application security principles and technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security and compliance challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is desirable.
- Ability to stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends and technologies.
