- You understand how to rapidly build trust and rapport with clients.
- You have outstanding communication skills which you adeptly use to manage client expectations.
- You have experience setting up a partnership to be renewed from year to year. You are comfortable selling and you know when the time is right to do so.
- You take responsibility for client's goals, becoming a strong voice for them within Battlefy's client services team
- You have collaborated with engineering, marketing, product, community, and external partners to setup a partnership for success.
- You take initiative, manage deliverables, meet deadlines, and drive results.
Who would want this role
- Someone who has 2-5 years of full-time account management preferably in gaming, media, business, or tech.
- Someone wanting to make their big break into the gaming and esports industry.

- Someone that has demonstrated an eagerness to learn about the gaming and esports industry or has been involved in the industry in ancillary ways.

- Someone who has the practicality, fortitude, and tactical ability to get things done. Someone who has worked at or with game development/publishing companies and wants to use their experience to advance the entire industry.
What you’ll do
- Achieve a 95% renewal rate with our publishing clients.
- Track, cultivate and maintain relationships with our clients that can be sustained for decades.
- Become the focal point for all client needs, bringing in members of our client services team (product, engineering, etc.) where necessary.
- Conduct partnership reviews with our clients at key intervals, reinforcing the value of Battlefy's services.
- Advocate for client needs and goals within Battlefy's client service team.
- Consult and guide our publishing partners on best-practices for the implementation of their official esports leagues.
- Retrieve required information from our publishing clients needed by Battlefy's client service team
- Work with our Business Development team in coming up with creative ways to bring added value to partnerships.
Who you don’t need to be
- You don’t need to be in Vancouver. We have team members in Jakarta, London, Los Angeles, NYC, Paris, Santiago, São Paulo, and Vilnius. We figured out the virtual model. We love polyglots! (However, we are looking for someone within the North American timezones)
- You don’t need to be a start-up veteran. If you’re up for the peaks and valleys of start-up life and willing to devote the energy and fortitude to make Battlefy as huge and as awesome as it promises to be, we’ll give you a fair chance at joining the team.
