Cinematics Animator - All Levels

Location: Work from home (UK only) or from our brand-new studio in Cambridge, UK.

Level: all levels.

Your Role: Using realistic or motion captured cameras and animation you will create believable characters and scenes to help convey deep emotional experiences, drive narrative storytelling, and engage the player in the story, atmosphere, and action, all while ensuring the overall creative direction is met. From pre-vis to final production, you will translate your passion for cinema and cinematic language into an experience that pushes the boundaries of what is achievable in an incredibly realistic, interactive environment.

Requirements

Your Skill: You will excel at transferring the creative vison from the shooting stage to the screen in a highly collaborative environment, where working alongside others to resolve technical and creative challenges is key. You will have:

• A high level of skill and practical experience of cinematography, motion capture and animation.
• Excellent, working knowledge of motion capture and animation software packages such as Motion Builder, Maya, and Shogun.
• The enthusiasm and ability to use your skills effectively in a real-time environment.
• The ability to work as part of a communicative, passionate, and enthusiastic team.
• The ability to follow direction, and to rapidly previz and iterate on scenes.
• Knowledge of practical cameras, rigs and on-set production is a plus.
• Knowledge of Virtual Production pipelines is a plus.

Your Experience:

• Your experience may come from film or TV, or you may have several games under your belt as Senior or Lead Cinematics Animator, or you may be a less experienced but highly creative Cinematic Animator with ambition and drive, looking for a home to develop your skills.
• An awareness of cutting-edge animation and motion capture technologies is essential, with hands on experience a significant bonus.
• Practical experience in a real-time environment with credits on a recently shipped AAA title is a plus, though not essential.
