Cinematic Tools Programmer [Studio]

We’re looking for a Cinematic Tools Programmer to join the Cinematics team at Massive Entertainment. The team is working on many different projects within Ubisoft with the aim to deliver high-quality productions. You will have a key role in the development and maintenance of our pipeline and tools to the team of artists. The team is constantly facing new challenges and the need to adapt to new technology and updated tools.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite. We kindly ask you to apply with your CV and message to the hiring manager / cover letter in English. Applications will be reviewed whilst the job-ad is posted.
- Develop production tools in Python that interacts with Shotgun
- Review and improve the pipeline in close collaboration with the artists in the team
- Software integration including but not limited to:
o Foundry; Nuke and Modo
o SideFX Houdini
o Autodesk; Maya and Motion builder
o Adobe; After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere and Substance painter
You as a person
You are used to structure and drive your work independently and are comfortable communicating with clients, team members and non-technical collaborators. You are also comfortable to speak up if something is wrong and seek help when needed. Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Professional experience working with Python; manipulating the Python runtime environment, communicating with different APIs and packaging and distributing Python-based applications.
- Experience with Git. Knowledge of how to navigate and configure a remote Linux server and scripting in Windows.
It’s a bonus to have worked with any of the following;
- Maintaining and setting up Apache virtual-hosts running Python (Flask).
- Basic web development
- Shell scripting; POSIX or Bash
- Experience with building UI in Qt
