The Gearbox Entertainment Company is building a cinematics team dedicated to providing high-quality presentation of visual storytelling and narrative performance within our multiple franchise mediums. The Cinematic Production Coordinator will help the Cinema & Cinematics Department by assisting in facilitating department resources ON SITE** for all cinematic narrative moments on a given IP. We are looking for someone that is masterful in organization and is efficiency minded when delegating tasks to the team on a project-based level.

**NOTE: This is a full onsite/hybrid position at Gearbox - Frisco, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside Creative Development Production leadership, including producers, creative leads and other department coordinators on any number of projects or properties.
  • Maintain the task tracking platform for the team on any given project by monitoring progress, dates, and information as gathered and presented in software tools such as Microsoft Excel, JIRA, SmartSheets, and ShotGrid.
  • Participate in note-taking during specific meetings, syncs, or other team needs and organizing these notes to be published on the teams communication hub.
  • Be an additional conduit of communication between the Cinema & Cinematics Department and other teams.
  • Update department documentation as process evolves through the production.
  • Check-in with team members regularly to foster a connected team environment and provide support where needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in production or equivalent experience in videogames, film, or animation.
  • A strong understanding of project management methods i.e., scheduling, bidding, budgeting, risk mitigation… etc.
  • Able to pivot quickly to handle a variety of changes in a constantly evolving department.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools i.e., Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel… etc.
  • Have outstanding organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a keen scene of collaborating with other teams to meet departmental goals.
  • Able to receive direction and feedback, as well as give constructive feedback to others.
  • Have a deep love for storytelling experiences in film, animation, and videogames.

NICE-TO-HAVES:

  • Experience with Atlassian suite of products like JIRA & Confluence.
  • Experience with maintaining Autodesk ShotGrid sites.
  • Experience maintaining & editing SmartSheets sites.
