Description: Blur studio is looking for freelance Cinematic Editors for short assignments on future projects. These editors will be responsible for assembling both raw and completed versions of animation, sound, storyboard and graphics material into a polished and creative story. This is a key role in our Story group as it helps determine the quality and delivery of our final product.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the project Director and Head of Layout and Animation, and in cooperation with the CG Supervisor, this Cinematic Editor will use Adobe Premiere to compile storyboards, previs and animated sequences into a scripted cutscene. The Cinematic Editor will collaborate with the Director and Storyboard Artist to map out each frame of the piece to achieve a look and scene flow that is consistent with the story, style and scope of the project. The Cinematic Editor may also work with Layout to compile previz animatics. Once all elements are complete, the Cinematics Editor and Director will work together to produce a polished scene that reflects a strong artistic eye for camera and framing, as well as an exemplary sense of story and timing.
Requirements:

Strong skills and experience with visual technique and storytelling

Expert-level ability with Adobe Premiere

Experience working with storyboards, director notes and with CG pipelines

Familiarity with editing short-form story-based content

Rate will be based on experience level.

Compensation: $50-$65/hr
