Cinematic Animator (Project 8)

Responsibilities:

• Create visually stunning animations of characters, props, cameras, and the environment using Unreal Engine.
• Develop script-based storyboards to guide the cinematic sequences.
• Take ownership of cutscenes and ensure the highest quality output.
• Ability to quickly create and iterate on pre-vis content for testing purposes.
• Edit and implement motion capture animations in UE sequencer, including body and facial animations.
• Produce compelling storytelling compositions by creating or editing camera animations.
• Incorporate feedback from the game director and animation lead to improve the cinematic experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in creating cutscenes and working with cutscene animation pipelines.

• Shipped title experience.

• Strong sense of composition, including camera movements, framing, and storytelling.
• Proficiency in Autodesk MotionBuilder, Autodesk Maya, and Unreal Engine.
• Experience in capturing and processing motion capture data.
• Facial animation and lip-syncing expertise.
• Experience animating both bipedal and quadrupedal characters.
• Portfolio, website, or demo reel showcasing your skills.
• Good command of English (minimum B2 level).

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working with Xsens.
• Rigging and skinning skills for characters.
• Knowledge of physics simulation for cloth, hair, and other physics-driven items in Unreal Engine.
