Job Description:

If you're a highly motivated and passionate Cinematics Animator, then we need you!

Our team of talented developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for what we do. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we will be a phenomenal fit for you.

The Cinematic Team is focused on much more than traditional cutscenes. We are constantly challenging ourselves to analyze every aspect of video game content to push cinematic quality wherever we can. As a member of our group, we encourage new ideas for telling visually focused stories within this constantly evolving, interactive medium.

Stuff We will Trust you With

In this role you will work closely with Animation Leads to help define and maintain high-end cinematic animations, as well as contribute to improvements in our processes and pipelines. Editing Motion capture data is one part of how we craft some of our detailed character performances. We involve animators in the entirety of the process and want them to engage in setup and shoots. We look forward to you contributing to that process while also having the opportunity to create high quality hand-keyed animations. Understanding body mechanics and engaging performances is something we look for in our animators. Your experience as a game developer is important to help work closely in many aspects of story content in our games.

Stuff You Are Familiar With

Great Animation! We are looking for individuals that show the ability to communicate solid timing and weight through their animations. Performance is something we continue to strive to improve and is a great skill to show off on your reel. We encourage a range of realistic and stylized motions on the team and would love you to show off your instincts in your reel. Being task-driven, self-motivated, and proactive are qualities our team works on together to help drive success on projects and in your career development.

Problem Solving! Being a problem-solver is part of being a game developer. As part of the team, you will be encouraged to help create solutions to problems that arise during development. Adaptability! Game development is always evolving. We look for those that can easily adapt to changes with a positive attitude.

Excellent Communication! As part of our team, we expect you to help us push the boundaries of what is possible by communicating and sharing your innovative ideas with team members and helping the leads to develop plans to further those ideas.

Give and Receive Constructive Feedback! Feedback creates an engaging atmosphere, which helps you to continue to learn and grow in areas important to your development, like story and cinematics. This will also help you continue to refine your communication skills with your team and with others outside of your discipline

You’ll really get noticed with these upgrades:

You will be working with a team passionate about storytelling in film and games. Include a cover letter that tells us…..What drives your passion?

Experience with Previz, motion-capture and facial animation is a plus.
