Chief People Officer

As the Chief People Officer at Bungie, you will be responsible for shaping an inspiring and inclusive culture, as well as leading the organization and policies that will attract diverse talent and ensure the growth and development of the next generation of our industry’s craft leaders.
With the uncertainty and rapidly changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, most positions at Bungie are expected to onboard and work from home for a significant portion of 2021. In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in WA/CA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in CA or WA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA or WA will need to establish WA state residency within 45 days of a start date. Bungie’s work from home, flexible work schedule, and remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and drive the overall vision and strategy with the CEO and leadership team, particularly from the perspective of the impact on Bungie’s people needs and development
- Collaborate with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop and implement progressive people programs that drive engagement and development, as well as diversity and inclusion, and are aligned with Bungie’s values
- Able to influence through data driven decision making and bring others along the journey
- Serve as member of the Bungie Leadership Team and a champion for people and culture
- Able to analyze and diagnose business and people performance, organizational climate and culture and use data to create insights that drive higher thinking and outcomes
- Shape the organization for the future, establishing hard and soft organizational structures, in a matrixed, multi-business unit environment
- Supercharge our ability to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry
- Develop a D&I strategy that reflects Bungie’s commitment to giving all employees a safe, open minded environment where they can thrive
- Work with the organization to develop, refine, reinforce, and embody Bungie’s culture and values
Oversee all People Team functions, including Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, HR - Operations, Analytics & Reporting, D&I, OD/Change/Culture, L&D, Employee Relations, Business Advisory, and the Bungie Foundation
- Oversee People tools, establishing new processes, technologies, and workflows that scale with and enable the business
- Build the capabilities of the People team, motivate, and inspire them, and ensure they have the support to take the function to the next level in supporting Bungie’s growth
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Deep technical HR expertise and experience overseeing the full HR suite including Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Analytics & Reporting, D&I, OD/Change/Culture, L&D, Employee Relations, Business Advisory, and the Bungie Foundation
- Demonstrated success creating systems and programs that consistently develop management and leadership capability, and provide high confidence succession talent to fuel growth
- Demonstrated experience successfully helping to lead a business through significant change, growth, and transformation
- Experience with org design in a matrixed and multi-business unit environments
- Practical exposure to planning and driving organizational transformation as it relates to operational efficiencies, people capabilities and culture change
- Reputation for driving HR best-practice in mid-sized, fast growing organizations
- Track record of leading from the front, driving accountability across the HR function; and a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Experience working in creative industries and working with singular talents
- Experience using data to improve, automate, and streamline HR practices and decision making
- Experience with international expansion across multiple geographies
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
