Chief Accountant

Wargaming is looking for a Chief Accountant for a company (a new legal entity) of up to 30 employees. This person will be the only accountant for the company and will also help with the accounting and reporting processes for another legal entity.
What will you do
- Maintain accounting and tax records using 1C: Accounting Salary and Staff Management 8.3 and SAP
- Maintain and assure the accuracy of primary documentation in accordance with the requirements of accounting, tax accounting, and company policies
- Organize and reflect transactions related to the movement of assets, liabilities, and business transactions on the accounts in a timely fashion
- Organize and maintain records of the following: the organization's income and expenses, execution of cost estimates, sales of products, performance of works (services), and results of economic and financial activities of the organization
- Work in the following areas:
- Salary accounting
- Suppliers and contractors: control compliance with the terms of contracts, receive and control primary documentation, perform reconciliation, control the availability of originals, request missing documents, and work with electronic document workflow
- Bank: process payments in the client bank and import of statements into programs
- Ensure the correct calculation and timely transfer of payments to the federal, regional, and local budgets; of contributions to state social, health, and pension insurance funds; and timely payments to contractors and salaries
- Accountable personnel: collect and execute primary documentation for settlements with accountable personnel in terms of travel, entertainment, and other expenses
- Fixed assets and inventory items: receive, write off, record in SAP programs, document, and do inventory
- Control and comply with the established rules and deadlines for conducting an inventory of funds, commodities, and materials, and also of fixed assets, settlements, and payment obligations
- Accounting of deferred expenses
- Prepare accounting, tax, and statistical statements
- Prepare corporate financial statements (e.g., monthly, annual closing, etc.)
- Provide documentation and necessary information at the request of regulatory bodies
- Participate in desk and documentary audits of VAT, income tax, and insurance premiums
- Create and approve a work plan of accounts and forms of primary accounting documents used for processing business transactions for which standard forms are not provided, and develop forms of documents for internal financial statements of the organization
- Create local policies
- Develop and implement measures aimed at improving the operating efficiency of business units
- Approve the spending funds from the organization's ruble and foreign currency accounts with the CEO and perform operations
- Perform economic analysis of the organization's economic and financial activities based on accounting and reporting data in order to identify internal reserves and prevent losses and unproductive expenses
- Communicate with related financial departments of the company
- Negotiate agreements with contractors
What are we looking for
- Higher specialized education
- 3+ years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant
- 10+ years in accounting
- Good knowledge and practical experience in the field of Russian tax law, civil law, and labor law
- Knowledge of Russian accounting standards; knowledge of IFRS is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—work experience in a multicultural environment will be an advantage
- Result-oriented and proactive approach
- Flexibility and adaptability in professional approaches
- Time management skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing multicultural environment
- Computer literacy: 1C, SAP, MS Excel
- Upper-intermediate level of English
