Responsibilities
Overview the outsourcing team and asset creation
- Define the outsourcing needs for characters, weapons and accessories in collaboration with the Lead Character Artist and the Art Producer. Help find the right outsourcing partners.
- Give clear, synthetic and methodical feedback; artistic and technical, in collaboration with the Lead
- Make sure source assets are clean, organised and saved on our servers, import final assets into the game if/when necessary
- Organise tasks and deadlines along with the producer to ensure an optimal delivery
- Pro-actively report to the Lead, Art director, Producer, or any relevant team to ensure the outsourced work fit the project.
- Ensure a good communication between the studio and the outsourcers
Creation of Characters and character art assets
- Model and texture 3D characters compatible with our game engine
- Respect the intentions, references, concepts et and art direction of the project
- Understand the software used in the character art pipeline
- Respect the time allocated to tasks
Qualifications
- Have robust organizational skills
- Master the English language
- Be proactive in finding solutions
- Obtain the best possible results by dialoguing with other teams
- Maintain a good balance between the artistic work and technical constrains
- Be autonomous, show a team spirit, stay open to knowledge sharing
- Keep up to date with the evolution of contemporary character design techniques
- Accept feedback, know how to bounce back
