Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You will review character art in all stages of development through design to implementation
- Create and/or modify existing assets as necessary, may be required to create both hard surface and soft bodied assets from scratch
- Able to ascertain the time efforts for creation to ensure that the teams' efforts are in line with budgetary consideration
- Work directly with the dev team to iterate on existing assets and respond to critique for aesthetic and functionality improvements in the game
- Take a character from inception through to completion and successful integration into the game
- Test all assets on the character side to ensure successful game implementation and functionality
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Mid to senior level of experience as a Character artist or Character art reviewer, with at least 1 shipped AAA titles
- Knowledge and experience to use in-game technology to finalize assets
- Understanding of in-game and in-game cinematic art asset creation
- Knowledge and experience with Maya, marvelous designer, substance painter, photoshop, as well as ZBrush or Mudbox
- Previous experience working with external outsource vendors
- Understanding of in-game testing to test/optimize for frame rate while balancing aesthetic needs
- Experience integrating character into game engine’s
