Character Concept Artist (contract)

Magic Fuel Games is a team of games industry veterans, and we are building a top-class studio to create globally appealing titles. We are looking for team members who are passionate about developing games and shaping the company that they work in.

The team we build is important to us, as we believe that it is the people who define the culture of the company and create its successes. We want to work with energetic, creative contributors who bring a fun vibe to the process of making games.

Who You Are:

You are an experienced artist able to create stylized art and fully versed in the process of visual development. You should have an impeccable sense for design, with finely honed sensibilities to form, detail, color, and light. The creative process is highly collaborative and you should be able to communicate concepts in a clear and confident manner.

How You'll Contribute:

• Working within constraints of the established art-style to produce engaging visual concepts for hard surface characters and associated VFX.
• Collaborate with design to help facilitate the process of generating engaging ideas and concepts.

What You'll Need:

• 3+ years strong character design experience
• 3+ years experience with Photoshop and a Fine Arts background (represented in portfolio)
• Shipped at least 1 mobile, PC or console title
• Experience with Paint-overs & White-boxing
• Ability to conceptualize ideas with rapid pencil work
• Ability to produce high-quality artwork for marketing
• A true passion for gaming with an awareness of industry trends and standards
• Understanding of the nuances of Western and Asian art styles
• Working knowledge of Maya is a bonus but not essential
