PeopleFun is seeking a Casual Game Designer to join our growing team.
Are you an experienced designer with experience designing content and levels for puzzle, word, and/or block games? Are you able to create content taking feedback and iterating to completion? If so, this may be the perfect place for you.
Candidates must be able to get to the heart of player feedback and iterate upon their designs. This role is responsible for taking concepts/levels from initial design and exploration through final in-game implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design innovative levels that maximize the fun of both new and established mechanics
- Take levels from concept and exploration through final in-game implementation
- Engage in creative ideation and problem solving
- Participate in design discussions and playtests
- Tune level difficulty and pacing in response to data
Requirements
- 2+ years professional experience in game design (not including internship)
- 1+ years of professional experience in mobile, casual, Free to Play (F2P) gaming
- Demonstrated technical understanding of Unity and version control (Github)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a creative, multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively in a distributed team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Jira, Slack, and Google suite (Specifically Drive and Sheets)
- Experience with puzzle/word games in the casual space
- Motivated and passionate about mobile game development
- Demonstrated well rounded design skills
