CO-OP Associate Software Engineer

WHAT IMPACT CAN A CO-OP SOFTWARE ENGINEER HAVE AT ESG?

East Side Games is looking for an eager and enthusiastic Co-op Software Engineer to join in the exciting trenches with our engineering team. You can identify technical exploits past the horizon and have the investigative know-how to resolve user disputes. You love duplicating and fixing bugs, designing and implementing new features, and doing anything else needed on an indie team. There is no doubt you will learn a lot about how technology brings to life your passion for mobile/social games and having input into game or product design.

You could join one of our teams below. Please indicate a preference when applying.

LiveOps: You’ll work with an amazing team of engineers to learn the ins and outs of software development on our popular titles!

New IP: You will be supporting the developmental efforts on a new and exciting Narrative Idle Mobile game based on a popular and well-established TV show!

IdleKit: You’ll be supporting our core technology platform that enables our internal games and external partnership games. The IdleKit team operates as an independent business unit that productizes our platform and actively publishes new games under the Eastside Games brand.

WHAT YOU MIGHT DO IN YOUR DAY TO DAY:

• Building features and implementing bug fixes
• Assisting in building tools for our designers and artists
• Creating automation pipelines for improved workflow
• Be hands on in learning code reviews and peer feedback
• Participating in meetings to learn development, documentation, and unit testing
  

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Working towards a BS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
• Knowledge of programming languages (C# is a plus!)
• Knowledge or exposure with Unity3D and Git
• A strong passion for technology, software development, and mobile games!
• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript are an asset.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and drive to take ownership of your work
• Excellent writing and verbal communication and task management skills.
• Passion for mobile games!
