CG Supervisor, Tech Art - ProArt, Environment Tools

The Opportunity
Unity is looking for a supervisor to lead a team of artists working on environment and world authoring tools and future authoring paradigms in the Professional Artistry Organization. Working directly with product management, design, research, and engineers within Unity, you will be influential in shaping future authoring solutions for the next generation of creators. The artists focused on environment authoring tools will partner with the other fields to deliver intuitive, powerful tools and seamless end to end workflow, for the creation of immersive 3D experiences!
The right candidate will combine mastery of CG/VFX world creation pipelines and leadership ability, with a passion for empowering creativity through technology. In addition to working on the artist tools pipeline, and the future workflows for our products, you’ll work to clarify and champion value for our creators. You will partner with design to ship consistent, accessible products. Your team will deliver inspirational demo and template materials that drive artists to use our tools, whilst ensuring they can easily achieve their creative goals. Your insight will ensure innovative solutions are targeted to artists needs, and empower millions of creators worldwide.

What you’ll be doing
- Work alongside product managers, designers, and engineers to develop innovative artist authoring pipelines of outstanding quality
- Create showcase CG/VFX content that inspires creators to adopt the technology, and provides instructional material.
- Conduct artist validation of the tools throughout development, to inform direction and maintain user centric focus.
- Mentor your team, ensuring individuals growth, alongside promoting a culture of innovation, teamwork and inclusivity
What we’re looking for
- Portfolio showcasing exceptional visual quality and innovative use of technology.
- Demonstrable experience of leading mentoring and inspiring a creative team, to deliver the very highest standards.
- Deep knowledge and broad experience of authoring workflows and asset creation pipelines in Film VFX and/or AAA Games
- Demonstrated capability in writing tools and pipelines using relevant scripting languages (C++, C#, Python, Max/MELScript, etc)
- Excellent collaborator with strong verbal, visual and written communication skills
You might also have
- Experience using procedural generation tools such as Houdini and Substance
- Experience using Unity or other proprietary engine
