CG Supervisor - Cinematics

Blackbird Interactive is looking for an experienced CG Supervisor to join our Cinematics team. The CG Supervisor will bring their wealth of knowledge of asset construction techniques to drive the next generation of cinematic tools within the studio. We are looking for someone who is a pro-active problem solver who demonstrate a strong sense of creativity and respect for aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with cinematics director and producer to lead and assist the team as needed to achieve the artistic and schedule goals.
- Suggest new and out of the box methods of working in order to achieve artistic and schedule goals more efficiently and effectively.
- Work with the Cinematics team to research, create, modify, and maintain an effective, efficient, and flexible pipeline.
- Assist Producers in script breakdown and bidding on projects.
- Must be able to do hands on work, as well as supervise.
- Help to create a quality of work that is of the highest standards
- Able to work across a broad style of looks and techniques
- Ability and willingness to switch tasks on the fly
- A strong creative eye and a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- The ability to take direction and willingness to address comments and make changes.
Requirements
- Strong hands on proficiency in CG Pipelines.
- High level of proficiency in modeling, texturing, rigging, VFX, lighting, and rendering.
- At least 5-7 years cinematic/games production experience.
- Advanced to Expert aptitude level for designing and implementing CG solutions.
- Ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations which scale well.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Maya, Nuke, Adobe Suite, and Shotgun.
- Hands on experience working with Real Time systems (i.e. Unreal, Unity etc)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to write and speak in a concise and clear manner in an environment that promotes influence, and partnerships across our diverse matrix of team members and disciplines
- Demonstrate the ability to participate as a leader and hands-on contributor through all stages of production.
