C++ Programmer (Platform)

Wargaming is looking to bring on a C++ Programmer to join our Platform team and help achieve their key mission: to ensure a quick and handy access to all Wargaming games, simplify the game and feature publishing process and cut down on the associated development costs.

The Kyiv-based part of the team oversees a variety of crucial internal projects, including Wargaming Game Center, Distribution System, Platform SDK, Crash Analysis Tool.

What are we looking for?

• Experience working on large-scale projects
• Analytical mindset; comprehensive approach to problem solution
• Able to visualize, substantiate and stand up for your decisions
• Experience developing network applications
• Experience developing games or projects related to the games industry (SDKs, platforms, etc.)
• 5+ years’ experience developing in C++ (including C++11/14), a deep knowledge of the language fundamentals and the associated troubleshooting methods
• Well-versed in multithreading, network (TCP/IP, HTTP) and IPC
• Understanding of architectural patterns, REST and cross-platform development principles
• A good grasp of how the Windows platform is set up and operates
• Knowledge of STL and Boost libraries
• Knowledge of development and support tools (MS Visual Studio, Git)
• A good command of technical English

• A good grasp of how the Linux platform is set up and operates
• Familiarity with Python, C#, Unreal Engine
