C++ Programmer - Ecommerce

Online Engineering at Epic

What we do

Our team builds online frameworks that support player experiences for internal games like Fortnite. In addition, we provide an SDK that exposes game services for third party game development teams all over the world. We currently focus on systems like matchmaking, player inventory, leaderboards, achievements, voice chat, parties, and more.

What you’ll do

As a member of the online game services team, you will help to build commerce systems that integrate with multiple platforms -- PC, consoles, and mobile. These systems enable store and purchasing features in Fortnite and other games; virtual currency, subscriptions, and in-game items to name a few.

Qualifications

• C++ expertise
• Experience integrating with ecommerce systems
• Strong problem-solving, logic, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with integrating external services APIs and platform SDKs
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous, and event-driven programming
• Experience using networking diagnostic and debugging tools (e.g. Charles, Postman, Fiddler, Wireshark)
• Nice to have: Console game or mobile application development experience
• Nice to have: Backend service development experience
