Business Strategist

The Strategic Planning & Forecasting team sits on the central Strategic Advisory department, and is responsible for driving the creation of Riot's company goals and the means through which those goals are supported by each part of the company. Working with leaders from across the company, this team ensures that our strategic direction is clear and backed by the necessary resources for success. In pursuit of this goal, members of this team also take on various strategic projects, gaining a wide exposure to the company and great opportunities for impact.

The Strategic Planning & Forecasting (SPF) team provides important direction for Riot by providing the means for teams to organize around Riot's strategy and acquire the resources they need to be successful. As a Business Strategist , reporting to the Director, Business Strategy, you'll influence how we plan and allocate resources, and ensure that our processes for creating strategic clarity and company-wide cohesion represent the best practices for Riot.

Responsibilities:

• Build research that presents strategic choices for how Riot approaches strategic planning
• Guide delivery of materials to support the SPF process
• Oversee projects to support other teams' projects of strategy and forecasting work
• Provide recommendations to support strategy development
• Track SPF program impact and support design of iterative improvements

Required Qualifications:

• BA; advanced degree in business preferred or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in a management consulting or business process consulting role, or equivalent experience working directly with business process optimization and execution
• Experience with strategy formulation including important frameworks, group facilitation.
• Familiarity with core topics in corporate finance
• Familiarity with project management best practices
• Experience presenting to audiences at the Vice President level or above

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum
• Financial modeling expertise (P&L, cash flow analysis, etc.)
