Business Operations Manager

The Create Business Operations (“BizOps”) Team is a dynamic cohort that develops strategic and tactical frameworks that result in standard processes to empower respective Business Unit leaders. We are looking for a deeply analytical, communicative, highly motivated, and intellectually curious Sr. BizOps Manager to join our growing team.

Functionally, the BizOps Team supports the operational initiatives and business units within Unity Create. This organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive vision and initiatives forward.

In this role, you will craft and deliver predictable and measurable programs that operationalize Create and Unity China’s business strategies. You will work with the Create, Unity China, and Global leadership to build and report on organizational capabilities and implement mechanisms that drive alignment, transparency of goals, and abate obstacles to achieve key business initiatives. A successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, possess a strong eye for business to facilitate successful outcomes and drive collaborative partnerships.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate with Unity China Board Members and CEO, supporting internal organizational structure, and tools, systems, and processes to drive alignment and make effective decisions, and action.
• Lead the organizational planning and rhythm of business processes for Unity China that increase visibility, alignment, and streamline decision making across in alignment with the wider Create org to ensure delivery and achieving operational goals and objectives
• Guide and facilitate business planning, strategic delivery, and integration of key processes in coordination with cross-functional operations such as Finance, HR, Technology, Corporate Development, and Product
• Drive establishment of commercial terms with Unity China and Create leadership for distributing Unity Global products and services not currently within JV scope
• Work with Unity China sales and strategy leadership, and US-based Create revenue teams to ensure we closely supervise deals in progress and maintain clear swim lanes between teams

What we’re looking for

• Operations experience including strategic/operational planning, performance management, and organizational governance
• Track record of using data and metrics to support strategies, advise business decisions, identify and implement improvements
• Strong communication skills, an active listener who is comfortable working across distributed teams and engaging and influencing executives
• Capability to independently lead in-depth analysis on business value drivers, customers and operational metrics, identifying and recommending key areas of improvement
• Ability to develop and implement effective operating processes, policies and procedures

You might also have

• Proven record in developing and implementing both big picture strategy and downstream tactics
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations (including export compliance, capital markets laws) and cultural norms
• Experience in management consulting, strategy, finance, or other analytical work with comfortable working in ambiguous contexts
