Business Operations Manager

Reporting directly to the Studio Head, we are looking for a Business Operations manager to take on a role that is key to the long-term health of the studio. This position is going to work closely across studio leadership to build out and execute on core operational needs including budgeting, outsource management, royalty and vendor arrangements and P+L strategy.
This role will be a great opportunity to work with and learn from an extremely experienced studio and business leadership team at a new and exciting studio on a completely new IP. We are well funded, growing quickly and highly confident in the market fit of our projects. This job is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take a high degree of ownership on a project and grow alongside a very well positioned studio.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
- Work closely with our CFO and studio leadership to track expenses against the budget, manage the P&L statement, and provide regular reports to the Studio Director.
- Take ownership and work as a subject matter expert on the studio budget, including outsourcing budget and provide clear and transparent communication to leadership and external partners as needed.
- Work closely with external vendors and our legal team to create and manage MSAs, SOWs and invoices.
- Work across our parent company and sister studio (Possibility Space) to create and drive results through vendor relationships.
- Research and assess potential outsource partners, including costs, speed, and quality.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding process.
- Provide effective tactical support to studio leadership both pre and post launch.
- Assist in the evaluating, selecting, and scheduling a variety of team training courses.
- Assist studio leadership in scheduling and other miscellaneous organizational tasks where needed.
- Support the development team with the procurement of necessary hardware and office equipment.
CORE TRAITS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience in a complex business operations or consulting role.
- Confidentiality and integrity in dealing with highly sensitive information.
- A team player who is able to build relationships and work collaboratively across business units/functions e.g. HR, Finance & Recruiting.
- Advanced excel skills required, macros highly desirable.
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills and ability to clearly visualize and communicate data.
- Is an entrepreneurial self-starter with a bias towards action in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Previous experience supporting and providing data to a CFO or Accounting Director for financial update or tax filing purposes.
- Demonstrated experience working with and driving results through vendors, negotiating royalty agreements or another equivalent services provider.

- Experience in a multinational organization.

- Experience with marketing campaigns or managing marketing schedules.
