Business Operations Manager - Destiny 2

Bungie is searching for a Business Operations Manager to help shape the development of Destiny 2! As an experienced project manager, you will help guide and optimize the leadership team of Destiny 2 (D2LT). The D2LT functions as a small, agile team charged with both supporting the development team and shepherding the long-term vision of the game. As their “chief-of-staff”, you will assist in crafting and driving internal processes, facilitating transparent communication, and enabling its strategic engine that will shape the future of Destiny 2. Ideally, you’re a self-motivated and empathetic organizer of people and process that embodies a service mindset. With the uncertainty and rapidly changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, most positions at Bungie are expected to onboard and work from home for a significant portion of 2021. In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in WA/CA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in CA or WA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA or WA will need to establish WA state residency within 45 days of a start date. Bungie’s work from home, flexible work schedule, and remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive execution of strategic initiatives and projects for the D2LT
• Own and facilitate ongoing rituals, communications, and processes for the D2LT
• Continuously improve the D2LT’s velocity, teamwork, and transparency
• Develop, refine, reinforce, and embody Bungie’s culture and values
• Actively challenge the status quo and facilitate change towards continuous improvement
• Operate under the mentorship of the D2 Executive Producer while remaining accountable to the D2 General Manager
• Craft communications (email, presentations, etc.) from D2LT to the Destiny 2 team and studio
• Represent the D2LT to the studio
• Help shape business operations excellence at Bungie

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Outstanding project management skills: Building and maintaining work backlogs; tracking, scheduling, and driving projects to completion
• Exemplary written and oral communication skills. Ability to deliver executive presentations and studio-wide communications
• Demonstrable experience fostering teamwork and building high functioning teams
• Proven experience in rapidly learning new methods and processes and adapting them to critical business needs
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to drive high-value meetings through challenging discussions and build clear action items and accountability
• Possessing a high degree of emotional intelligence
• Drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the job
• Exceptional problem-solving skills. Proven ability to understand, simplify, and solve any problems in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
• Experience with agile/scrum development processes and tools
