What We Need:
We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated Business Manager to lead strategy and execution for our NBA In-Game Ad Platform team, based in Dublin. NBA 2K has a wide range of in-game content surfaces, all focused on keeping users informed, engaged and having a great time. In this role, you will ensure every user is presented the right content at the right time on every surface. You will be responsible for driving ad platform strategy, execution and performance across all surfaces, ad types and user segments. You will eagerly optimize the user experience by continually testing new ads, art, messaging across different surfaces. Your high attention to detail will help identify opportunities and information others may miss, and the impact of your efforts will be felt every day by millions of NBA 2K players around the world. What You Will Do:
- Partner with Commercial, Partnerships, Analytics, Development and Performance Marketing to manage and optimize in-game ad platform strategy, programming, and target setting
- Establish and manage a scalable naming convention structure for all in-game ads, enabling robust and seamless analysis by surface, ad type, campaign and ad/offer
- Lead monthly cross-functional strategy syncs to align on cross-functional goals and objectives
- Own bi-weekly programming sprints, locking in daily ad schedules for each surface
- Present and report on platform performance and share optimization recommendations via automated daily reports, weekly performance commentary and monthly commercial reviews
- Partner with Analytics/Live Ops to ingest targeted content bundles into the ad platform, develop targeting logic, and optimize content/segmentation/pricing based on performance
- Partner with Analytics and Brand Marketing to align on and optimize NBA 2K user segmentation methodology, cohort sizing and cohort objectives
- Partner with platform analyst to translate ad platform performance across surfaces, ad types, campaigns and ads/offers into reactive, proactive and strategic optimization recommendations
- Partner with ad platform designer and analyst to continually A/B test different creative approaches for driving strategic objectives and maximizing platform and campaign performance
- Partner with region and territory teams to align on local goals, trends and optimization strategies
- Work with Analytics/BI to develop partner-facing Tableau dashboards and automated reports
- Collaborate with the Analytics and Performance Marketing teams to synthesize in- and out-of-game ad platform strategies, audiences, prevailing trends and other key optimization insights

She/he is methodical (but agile), objective- and hypothesis-driven, comfortable working cross-functionally to tackle big questions, rigorous in testing hypotheses, and a dogged problem solver who loves finding new ways to delight our players.
The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of video games and the industry to make sense of the data, extract an interesting and actionable learning, communicate his/her findings and influence the business decisions. Being a solution oriented, creative problem solver and self-starter with passion and enthusiasm to drive the results for meaningful changes are also going to be very critical for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Statistics or Business; advanced degree a plus
- Strong understanding of digital media/performance marketing, including display, social, video, programmatic, trafficking and reporting
- Strong understanding of user segmentation, targeting and A/B testing
- Experience operating dynamic ad platforms or experience leveraging CRM, CMS systems and/or bespoke tools to manage in-game content presentation and prioritization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to work collaboratively across a number of internal and external teams
- Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment
- Ability to work within a distributed team structure
- Detail orientated and fast learner
- Proficiency with SQL and Tableau a plus, but not required
