Business Intelligence Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Support the core business functions (including Corporate Finance, and Executive teams) by creating datasets, metrics, reports, visualisations for presentations, models, forecasts, automation scripts and documentation using SQL, Excel, VBA and R or python. Analyse, evaluate and form independent judgments on the outputs. Work with a wide variety of data from different sources - internal and external, structured and unstructured.
- Understand stakeholder teams' data / analytics requirements and work with the Data Engineering team and dev team as needed to deliver the required outputs, owning the process end-to-end from data source identification to delivery and provide ongoing support for the output datasets and reports.
- Work together with other data team members to ensure consistency in metrics definitions, implementation of analysis best practices and efficient use of data pipelines.
- Design and implement data- and model validation processes for the outputs, requesting reviews and approvals from technical specialists such as BI analysts and/or Data Scientists as well as relevant business experts.
- Design and implement processes to ensure outputs are continually supported and maintained.
- Create clear and detailed documentation on the deliverables.
- Manage timelines to meet deadlines and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Advise stakeholders on use of data tools and analysis / visualisation methodologies. Contribute to the Data Science, Business Intelligence and Data Engineering community through sharing knowledge and mentoring.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject or equivalent experience.
- Substantial professional experience in an analytical role.
- Proficient to advanced skills with SQL, VBA, R or python and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self-direct, analyse and evaluate and form independent judgments
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and stakeholders
- Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
- Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgement
Preferred qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of business finance concepts.
- Foundational knowledge of mobile gaming and ad-tech businesses.
- Experience building dashboards in a tool such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau.
- Professional experience in a quantitative role in finance, consulting, actuarial or banking.
