playAWARDS is looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team at PLAYSTUDIOS. At playAWARDS we encourage a culture in which we’re always learning about our products, our customers, our partners, & our industry. The BI Analyst will work closely with the Product, Engineering, Partner Management, Player Development, Marketing & Management teams to develop data-centric insights, reporting, and tools that drive and optimize our complicated business. Responsibilities
General
- Work alongside the BI team on monitoring and reporting on the health of the playAWARDS program and determining areas of opportunity
- Help drive the strategic direction and implementation of our suite of self-service dashboards
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data - be the data quality champion for playAWARDS
- Partner closely with product managers, player development, partner managers, and other teams across the studio to identify the most impactful business problems through data-driven intelligence
- Translate problems into structured analyses or data products that directly drive actionable insights that maximize value
- Ensure data consumers have access to the data and reporting they need
- Take pride in the quality of your work output. Your code, analyses, and documentation all reflect that of someone who is extremely detail-oriented
playAWARDS reporting and analysis
- Collect internal and external customers’ data and reporting needs and prioritize its throughput
- Create presentations for and present to peers, playAWARDS and PLAYSTUDIOS executives, and playAWARDS B2B strategic partners
- Translate customer needs into useful, actionable data and analyses
- Be a data evangelist and liaison both internally and externally
- Aid product and business owners with best practices and strategic thinking around how to best analyze data, measure success, and frame tests
- Play a strategic/data role in the playAWARDS survey program
- Design and deploy self-service tools and embedded analytics platforms
- Update weekly and monthly presentations with performance metrics
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, economics, statistics, analytics, or another related degree
- 3+ years prior experience in business intelligence/data science and working with BI tools
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Strong data visualization skills and experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Sisense)
- Prior experience presenting to executives
- Knowledge of data management, and working in both structured and unstructured data
- Prior experience in either social gaming, casino/hospitality, or related experience
- Must be part-artist, part-scientist, part-scholar, part-comedian, part-executive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating product and business needs into technical specifications
- Self-motivated & analytical with ability to work in a collaborative, agile team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience with survey tools (e.g. SurveyMonkey)
- Deep understanding of mobile free-to-play games
- Ability to build rich and complex data sets for analysis or tool building
- Master’s degree in business, economics, statistics, analytics, or another related degree
