Business Intelligence Analyst, Two Dots

We need a Business Intelligence Analyst who can uncover insights and bring clarity through rigorous data distillation to join our diverse, multi-talented team.
We are looking for a deep analytical thinker with great intuition who can translate product experiences into business metrics (and vice versa) for this role. This role will be part of the Product Team responsible for pushing initiatives to find new audience and revenue growth opportunities. Candidates should have a strong interest in data, analyzing human behavior, and be perpetually curious about what can improve the business. This role is full-time and based in our NYC office.
This role is an entry point to Dots' Product Manager & Data Scientist roles. Candidates who start as Business Intelligence Analysts in our studio will craft their career progression plan with those two tracks in mind as they build F2P experience.
The ideal candidate has substantial experience working with large datasets, is highly competent with SQL and data visualization tools, communicates well, and has an inherent interest in games. Familiarity with the puzzle and other casual genres, including the systems that power those games, is a strong plus.
The candidate can expect to work very closely with the Product, Game Design, User Acquisition, and Data teams to analyze performance, communicate and evangelize findings, and engage in debate on decisions we will make to grow the business.
You will:
- Understand F2P business models and underlying KPIs.
- Create dashboards in tools like Tableau for stakeholder consumption.
- Conduct quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights that impact revenue, retention, and reach.
- Work with the Product Team to analyze new feature impact and state of the business to inform prioritization of features and initiatives that will grow player lifetime value.
- Help design, implement and analyze A/B tests to gain valuable insights on player behavior and KPIs.
- Prepare and present regular updates on the game's performance.
We are looking for:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role or industry.
- Highly proficient in SQL.
- Experience with BI tools for creating dashboards and visualizations (Tableau preferred).
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience with modern data warehouses.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills to translate qualitative considerations into quantitative discussions.
- Experience delivering insights to stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good business and product intuition.
- A passion and knowledge for video games, particularly mobile free to play titles.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
