d3t is at the cutting edge of technology and creativity, delivering co-development video game services to our global triple-A clients. Our successful studio is continuing to grow and we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the expanding Team.
Our studio, part of the Keywords Studios Group, works on multiple exciting projects at any one time offering plenty of variety and involvement. Our studio projects have included Hogwart’s Legacy, Vampire: The Masquerade - Blood Hunt, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alan Wake Remastered, Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Assetto Corsa Competizione. We are based near Runcorn in Cheshire and we offer an amazingly professional, fun and supportive working environment. The Role – Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be a key member of the team, reporting to the Head of Studio. They will be responsible for the studio’s business development and supporting the leadership team with new project acquisitions. Responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the studio’s presence in the games industry and focused on establishing and nurturing relationships with key client partners (new and existing). The BDM will proactively introduce and assist in identifying new business opportunities whilst driving revenue growth through effective business development strategies.
Role focus:
- Identify, evaluate and help secure new potential business opportunities in the games industry.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the games industry, including game developers, publishers, platform holders, and technology partners.
- Work alongside the development team leadership to negotiate and close deals with a focus on building key long-term partnerships with clients.
- Interface closely with Keywords global business development team.
- Attend global game industry events, conferences, and trade shows (GDC, Develop UK, XDS) to network with potential partners, identify new opportunities, and stay updated on industry trends on a UK and international basis.
- Running and maintaining a business development meeting schedule for prospective clients throughout the year.
- Working to achieve studio revenue targets and key KPIs.
- Track and provide reports and analysis on business development activities and market insights to senior leadership team.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
- To represent the d3t studio and Keywords Studio Group as a Brand Ambassador at all times.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for expansion.
Requirements
Key Skills:
- Outstanding organisational skills, ability to manage multiple diaries.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- An extensive understanding of the video game market, including knowledge of industry trends, key players, and emerging technologies.
- Proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with client partners and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with partners and attend industry events.
- A passion for the games and game development.
Desirable Skills:
- The ideal candidate will have either experience within the game development industry with a desire to transition into business development, and/or experience in business development within an adjacent sector.

We offer a flexible working policy (37.5 hour week) - this Business Development Manager role has the option to be hybrid or studio based at either d3t (Runcorn, Cheshire) or Coconut Lizard (Gateshead, Tyne & Wear).
Initial interviews will be help by video call with additional interviews held on-site at the studio.
