As a Business Development Manager at Xsolla, you will be on the cutting edge for communicating and selling Xsolla’s newest consumer-facing product to PC/Console/Mobile game developers, as well as future clients in the media and entertainment industry. We will be launching a brand new product/service for our partners and customers and we have an ambitious goal to create the largest video game brand that is NOT a video game.

The right candidate is a highly creative storyteller, a gamer at heart, and has a huge appetite to be part of this insane journey. As an individual you have a strong work ethic and personable personality. Within teams you excel, holding others accountable, sharing credit for wins, and working together to elevate each other's strengths. You have a background in sales, specifically mobile and B2B, and you have a passion for video games.

This role requires a presence at our HQ in Sherman Oaks, California.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate, sell, and support needs of Xsolla clients
  • Qualify leads from both internal and external sources and perform targeted outreach to generate new business for Xsolla
  • Build and nurture relationships across accounts to solidify our partnership and commitment to the customer while penetrating the account deeper
  • Negotiate on valuable gaming content with game developers, and make sure it’s delivered to the platform
  • Build and execute a BD strategy that inspires game developers to bring new valuable in-game content to the platform regularly
  • Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools
  • Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods
  • Travel to gaming events to evangelize the capabilities of Xsolla
  • Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends

Knowledge/Expertise/Education:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related experience
  • Ability to successfully participate in projects involving cross-functional teams
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to build successful client relationships
  • Established track record of driving revenue
  • Must have a passion for games and/or prior experience in the game industry
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • General Gaming industry knowledge
  • Must be able to immediately handle a significant workload and effectively prioritize projects with a high degree of autonomy
  • Effective time management skills and excellent attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience with an entrepreneurial organization
  • 5+ years of business development experience
  • Understanding Amazon Prime Gaming business
  • Knowing in-depth Twitch Drops mechanics
